We began with a full audit of the existing system to understand performance issues, server overload, security gaps, and scalability limitations. Based on this, we defined clear technical and business requirements.
The goal of this project was to transform Ican Online Tutors from a slow, bug-prone, and high-cost pre-built system into a fast, secure, and scalable EdTech platform. We aimed to eliminate performance bottlenecks, significantly reduce AWS infrastructure costs, and rebuild the system using Laravel for a scalable backend API and React.js for a high-performance frontend experience. Video privacy and content security were also major concerns, so we restructured media management by securely hosting images and videos on AWS S3 with controlled access. Additionally, we integrated AI-powered automation for quiz and flashcard generation and established a stable, future-ready architecture capable of scaling to 100,000+ students with ongoing technical support.
Ican Online Tutors approached us because their existing platform, built on a pre-made CodeIgniter script from CodeCanyon, was creating serious operational challenges. The system was full of bugs, slow in performance, and difficult to maintain. Even with fewer than 1,000 students, their AWS server costs were increasing every month due to poor code structure and inefficient resource usage.
They were also concerned about video privacy, platform security, and the long-term scalability of their business. The existing system could not support growth, automation, or modern learning features. They needed a reliable technology partner to audit the platform, fix the core problems, reduce infrastructure costs, and rebuild a strong foundation that could support future expansion.

We structured the project into a focused 4-week sprint. During this phase, we developed landing pages, frontend application pages in React.js, and scalable backend APIs in Laravel.
After completing each feature, our internal team conducted thorough QA and performance testing to ensure stability, speed, and security.
Each completed feature was deployed to a staging server for client-side review and approval.
We implemented CI/CD automation using GitHub to ensure smooth and fast deployments. Once a feature was approved by the client team, it was deployed to the live environment, ensuring continuous improvement without disrupting users.
